Do you know a child with disabilities who you think
could benefit from an AmTryke® therapeutic
tricycle?
For years, the AmTryke®
has benefited and delighted children with disabilities. It gives children
the opportunity to experience the fun and independence of riding a bicycle
with their siblings and friends.
This unique tricycle is hand and/or foot powered. It
improves motor coordination, increases self-esteem and is fun to ride!
Physical and occupational therapists acknowledge the
AmTryke® tricycle's therapeutic benefits
to patients, citing improved motor skills and strength development. In
fact, the AmTryke® was inspired by a
therapist.
Be sure to look at all models of the AmTryke®
therapeutic tricycle. There is a tryke available for children of
all ages!
How to get an AmTryke®
therapeutic tricycle for a child
The first step is to see if there is an AmTryke®
Demonstration Site in your area. These facilities
have one or more of the models of trykes and the therapists can work with
you to find out what tryke would work best for the child.
If you are unable to afford the cost of a tryke, you
can work with any AMBUC chapter to fund the tryke or have the childs
name placed on the National Wish List.
